In an attempt to search for alternative ways and places of living I photographed the Dead Sea Scrolls area, north of the Dead Sea. An area in between Jerusalem and the Judea Desert, characterised by small settlements, partly settled with alternative housing such as yurts and mobile caravans. The scenery is rich in history and is located on the border of Israel and Jordan. A remote and isolated area. Swallow-holes put the whole area in danger of extinction and at the same time being one of the most beautiful places in Israel.
