Harish

is a portrait of a city being built. A new, pre planned city, rapidly built in Israel during the last years, aiming to populate 100,000 people. These houses are affordable so people of different economic statuses purchase them in attempt to create a new and urban quality of life for themselves. While in fact the construction is cheap, crowded and fast which results tall, high level, boxes-like concrete buildings. In Israel, for many years and for many families there is the perception and the dream for a "contractor apartment", buying a new apartment is considered an achievement one aspires to. These kind of apartments and buildings are usually of low quality and the final product is a replicated building without a character. The photographic process is kind of a mapping of the city emphasising the exposed, generic construction that creates a concrete city afar from nature.
